The Place positions itself as a New York-style , work day cafeteria restaurant. Their menu features close to 100 items for you to choose from, including an all day brunch (Belgium Brunch Waffle, Very Berry French Toast, Morning of Napoli) from 10,500 to 12,000 won, as well as pastas, pizzas, hot and cold sandwiches, soups and a salad bar.

The more substantial dining is upstairs on the 4th floor at The Place Steak House. You'll find American and Australia beef steaks (Porterhouse, Tenderloin, Rib eye and NY Strip) from 22,000 to 42,000 won, depending on the size, as well as a lunch menu with burgers, sandwiches (10,500 to 11,500) and pasta.

The House specialties are the Dry Aged American Rib Eye and Sirloin steaks, which are priced above 70,000 won. Use your CJ, KB or V discount cards to knock the price down.

Steak is good value is average.

I went here for dinner the other night. Within the variety of steaks (Sirloin, Ribeye, etc) there are 2 types of steaks that you can order - regular and dry aged. Thsse 2 varieties roughly equivocate to good and delicious or average and expensive. We ordered the Dry Aged Sirloin, after all, if you're going to be a monkey be a gorilla. The steak was delicious. It was prepared medium rare and came out with a la carte sides of fries, creamed spinace, and salad.

Furthermore, the ambience was quite nice. If you're looking to get away from the bustling Korean restaurant environment where it is okay to raise your arm and yell for the waiter while smoking in between your appetizer and main dish, this place is a good fit. It is dimly lit, quiet, and quaintly small.

Be prepared to pay though, it is also expensive. Without my buddies discount card a meal for me and my girlfriend would have been about 130,000 won.
